Cryptum ICO announces strategical CRTM token changes

Cryptum is announcing a change in the total number of tokens, investor bonuses and a limited set of bounties

Sofia, August 30, 2017 - After careful consideration, the team behind Cryptum ICO decided to change the Stage I Cryptum sale from Unlimited to pregenerated maximum number of tokens, limiting the total number of available tokens to 1.102 million, with 500 CRTM reserved for small social bounties,  1500 CRTM for long term investors bonuses and and 100 000 CRTM reserved for the Stage II (Altcoins) sale that will take place between October 17 and November 17 2017.

This transition would limit the number of tokens during the initial sale to exactly 1,000,000, with 100% of them available to investors at a price of 0.02 ETH per token or 0.0135 BTC for 10 tokens. All unsold tokens from Stage I will be available together with the 100 000 reserved tokens during the Stage II sale between 17 October and 10 November at a higher price, and any remaining tokens at the end of this period will be destroyed.

The change was proposed by potential investors and is based on the needs of the projects. It aims at limiting the possibility of market manipulation and strengthening the future price of Cryptum tokens, but more importantly - it serves the profit strategy of the Cryptum project.

New Cryptum Project - icodbase.com

If there was anything that launching a new ICO taught us, it was that there are many ICO listing websites, but there are nearly as many developed or driven by greed alone, which falls to the same category as many of the ICOs themselves, but then - these were never our concern, while listing Cryptum was. Of course, there are some ICO databases that have a great audience, and they offer some nice advertisement packages, rankings, audits, etc. These are usually the selected few that lead to many visits on the listed ICO website or have some useful information for the ICO developers and the readers.

News! Token tiers lowered!

From Nikolai Tsekov, Project Manager

Yesterday a reddit user brought up a few questions that I feel I need to address personally. Looking at the board games project from the distance of a person that doesn’t invest in ICOs - for example when you only want just the board game(s) and you don’t care about much else, it wouldn’t seem like the wise investment we are claiming it to be. And I understand that - keeping 30 tokens at the now steep price of 0.02 ETH each means you will be currently investing about $188 (at the time of writing this article) in a single game.

And he was right, the Ethereum price is higher now than when we started developing the project. So we will change the requirements for each Tier (tiers are not obligatory!), simple as that!

Well, it is not so simple. We will still lower the required amounts, but we have to explain them.

Cryptum ICO announces “Blockchain: The Cryptocurrency Board Game”

Free access to the first ever high-end “mining” strategy game with the new crowdfunding token sale by Cryptum

Sofia, August 15, 2017 – Cryptum ICO (launching September 16) announces it is funding the first strategy board game set in the world of cryptocurrencies and digital assets.

The game is thematically named “Blockchain: The Cryptocurrency Board Game” (see also BoardGameGeek Database Entry) and allows up to five players to compete by building “mining rigs”, investing in ICOs, buying and upgrading high-end mining hardware with the goal of owning most Bitcoins and Ethereum at the end of the game.

“Blockchain: The Cryptocurrency Board Game is educational, fun and has a cool historical value for the digital currency market. It’s the ultimate mining game, but it goes well beyond that by bridging the cryptocurrency and board game worlds,” – said the designer Nikolai Tsekov.

Cryptum Roadmap

Extended Cryptum Roadmap

It’s nearly impossible to create easily presentable roadmap for the Cryptum projects. We have at least 4 separate timelines, with intersections and we won’t even include smaller projects we work on.

In the board games business a month or two delay is not even considered happening, as most board games are manufactured in China, there are many steps in the quality assurance, and, since they take up quite a lot of volume once packed, games are shipped by a sea transportation to a few major hubs in US, Europe and Australia. All in all - publishing board games is hardly an exact science and, except if someone is in a hurry for the next Essen Spiel of Gen Con, there is rarely a rush. Of course we will try to follow some general timeline and be present at each of the Essen Spiel shows in order to promote our games.

The mining project follows a timeline we set based on the supply of hardware and the time needed to set it up. At the same time, it’s nearly impossible to be precise with hardware shipping around holidays and such, so we expect to gradually build the farm in the course of few months.

Using ETH or BTC to buy Cryptum Tokens

This is a simple guide for the easiest way to get some Cryptum Tokens. It is not a comprehensive guide, as we chose the most user-friendly way to do it. If you are interested in recommendations for the number of tokens to buy, see our ICO Tiers guide.

You always need a very small amount of ETH for the so called “gas” for transactions in the ETH network. To keep it simple - gas price is set by miners that will confirm transactions and you can check how much it should be at ETH Gas Station. At the time of writing this blog post, the regular “fast” price 21 Gwei. You can usually set in in wallets at the time of making a transaction. We recommend setting gas limit at 250 000 and gas price at 22 Gwei, you will be charged lower most of the time.

We would recommend buying ETH (or BTC) at Coinbase - as it offers fair security and you can buy both ETH and BTC with a credit card after very simple and fast verification process. This is not the only similar service, but it has proven record of being user friendly.

Paying in ETH

It’s a very straightforward process. You only have to send ETH to the address from the ICO page, and then add the data below to your wallet in order to show the tokens that arrived. We strongly recommend using MyEtherWallet.com

  • Please set gas limit to minimum 250,000. To avoid slow confirmation you can set Gas Price to 22 Gwei or more (top right corner if you are using MyEtherWallet).
  • Do not sent directly from exchanges. Please use MyEtherWallet, Mist or Parity.
  • After you send ETH payment, head to your wallet and add the CRTM token (in MyEtherWallet this is done in View Wallet Info page > Token Balances > Add Custom Token).
  • Fill in the contract address we provided (0xD4aE13a0A0b4BB3062839230b1925d66f6DD03eb), symbol = CRTM, decimals 18.

.

Paying in BTC

If you decide to sent us BTC instead (0.0135 BTC for 10 tokens is the minimum amount we will process for Stage I, but mind you, BTC transaction fees are higher), and you will still need ETH wallet and an address for your tokens. Of course, this way you can avoid buying more ETH altogether, especially if you have no plans moving the tokens around. Still, we do recommend using ETH transaction and wallet, even just for the low transaction fees and the simplicity of use.

If you still prefer BTC, please use the address we provided at the ICO page, then fill in the form linked under each of them, filling your Transaction ID (alternatively, fill in the address you are sending from), ETH address of your ERC-20 compatible wallet (MyEtherWallet, Parity, Mist, MetaMask and others), and your email. Double check your email as in case of a problem we need to be able to contact you.

Wallets that can work with Tokens

In order to buy Cryptum Tokens you will need Ethereum (or BTC) and an ERC20-compatible wallet that would show your tokens when you receive them. You MUST have a compatible wallet. NEVER participate in a sale directly from exchange address! Below is a list of ERC-20 standard wallets that you can use.

These Ethereum wallets that you can use to store your tokens and participate token sales. To participate Ethereum token sale you need a wallet website or a wallet app where you and you only holds the private keys. Private keys are needed to correctly interact with smart contract functions, like transferring tokens. The following wallets are known to be compatible with Ethereum tokens (ERC-20 standard):

* Ethereum wallet information is quoted from: TokenMarket.net

MyEtherWallet is OK?

We recommend MyEtherWallet as it has internal link with Coinbase and you can buy ETH inside (doesn’t work for some countries, but you can still buy ETH at Coinbase and transfer them to MyEtherWallet). It also shows your tokens. Keep your files and passwords safe and you’ll never need another wallet. Of course, unless you buy some hardware wallet like Trezor. Which, by coincidence, is also compatible with MyEtherWallet!

How does “free access” work for our projects?

This is a description of the process of “claiming” free access to board games, Cryptumcoins and shared profits. It’s simple and requires a minimum of data submission through our website. We are sound believers in the privacy of the transactions and we hold to anti-regulation principles, so we will not keep any personal information (excl. emails, as we still need to be able to notify you about upcoming claim or payment deadlines) for longer than we absolutely must. Cryptum tokens are based on the Ethereum blockchain, so they are connected to your Ethereum addresses. You can find more information about how to use ETH, BTC or even USD, EUR and other currencies to buy CRTM and information about their wallet requirements in the this manual.

Primewarp: Genesis Board Game

This is a project that enters the Cryptum Network with most of the work in it already done. There are quite a few things that need to be done before we say it’s finished and ready for a Kickstarter campaign, but the essential job: rules base, art concepts and card art pieces, and many of the 3D models are already done. You can check the game current status at Cute Lizard’s Facebook page. Primewarp is a unique game that puts 2 to 4 players in a PvP/PvE fight over two huge labyrinth-like maps (with a twist that you just can’t guess), but the KS campaign will probably add solo and pure coop modes, as well as full-featured campaign for all game modes.

The project changed as it entered the Cryptum Network and will be published as Primewarp: Genesis core game and a separate Primewarp: Blades and Fire Expansion, which adds another player (so it would probably end as 1-5 player game), new playable characters, NPC and much more. The expansion will be part of the KS campaign.

Blockchain Board Games Expansions

We already mentioned we planned for at least four expansions for the game “Blockchain” we will publish after receiving funding from this project. Three of them: Exchanges, Mining Farms and Forks represent some very distinctive aspects of the cryptocurrency world, and they are self-explanatory. Of course, they will add a lot more than the obvious, starting with new coins, ICOs, updated prices and difficulties for some of the base game currencies, and more.

The fourth one - Project 2020, is much different from the rest of the bunch, and it will completely change the game world to a dystopian future where the world already accepted cryptocurrencies instead of fiat currencies, and paper money are obsolete. Such a dramatic change of the game will come at the end of the expansion chain, so it is possible this project to be pushed further down the queue if we decide to release more than the planned 3 prior expansions - after all, we have to consider the possibility the game would become insanely famous. No wonder, considering how good it would be.

Blockchain: The Cryptocurrency Board Game

Blockchain: The Cryptocurrency Board Game is a highly educational board game about cryptocurrencies, mining and investment.

Blockchain is an advanced engine-building, worker placement game where 1-5 players try to use their processing power to “mine” digital currencies and exchange them for Bitcoins and Ethereum, competing for the highest profit at the end of the last game round.

Cryptum Board Games Project

First and foremost Cryptum is a financing project for our board game line of products, starting with a complex euro-style game named “Blockchain”. It’s a game of cryptocurrency mining and investment, and it’s already in the alpha stage of development. Our team is eager to finish the game and you can trust our experience in the field - we are long-term hobbyist and we’ve been in the board gaming business for since 2010.

Blockchain: The Cryptocurrency Board Game

Blockchain: The Cryptocurrency Board Game would receive additional funding through Kickstarter mainly in the purpose of marketing. Since it would be already financed by that time, you might expect investment returns, yet the better part of any profit would be used to create a set of expansions and then some more games: so far we planned 4 expansions: The Exchanges, Mining Farms, Forks and Project 2020, and two completely unrelated games, but we may continue the expansions line in order to keep the game fresh and up to date. We would start with reinvesting 80% of the profits, but the numbers will go down (and holders profits up) with speeding up development and manufacturing processes over time, as well as receiving better financing through our mining project. Still, that’s a 20% return from the first one and its expansions - on top of a free game + all expansions. Furthermore, we will expend the “free access” to any title that would not require additional funding, in exchange of higher token ownership requirements (for example, our newly acquired Primewarp: Genesis may require up to 50 tokens ownership in order to allow you free game claim, unless you have the respective tier - see tiers? here).

The Cryptum Mining Prospect

Ensuring investment returns for Cryptum Token holders is one of the noteworthy goals of the Cryptum project. We would invest in a small to mid-range mining farm (it really depends on the success of the crowdsale) in order to develop a long term income to the project. We are aware this offers diminishing returns, hence we would start with 50% shared profit for the first 4 months and lowering them gradually by 5% every 5 months down to 30% at the end of the second year of operation. After 24 months of shared profit, this project would start contributing only to our board gaming project and we will use it to fund the production of more games, which will still generate shared profit for you.

The rest of the profit would be reinvested in expanding/upgrading the mining farm, or in the board game line for the purpose of ensuring faster development time by allowing us more freelance contracts, and a small part would support the Cryptum Cryptocoin Project as described in it’s Financing section. After the second year the mining project would serve solely the financing of the board game line, ensuring constant funding and raising the profits of each consecutive board game project. We would also use the income to fund any additional projects we include in the Cryptum Network (see Other Projects).

  • Team: Internal software control, contract hardware acquisition, contract hosting (may be changed to own location depending on funding)
  • Partners: Hardware BG Ltd
  • Financing: 30% of the initial token sales
  • Development timeline: 3 to 6 months development (read: as soon as possible), 24 months operation at full power for the purposes explained above, lifetime of upgrades and reinvestment in the board game project, also investment in Other Projects.
  • Updates: Regular updates and information in the Cryptum Mining category
